Bcdefg123: The traditional first question, can you tell us a bit about yourself, what other games you play, what other hobbies, etc.
Jk0sk: - Well, I live in upstate New York, and currenty in college. I play pretty much every genre there is. I favor my traditional games over all else (Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, Metroid...). But I own all three "old gen" consoles, as well as a DS, SNES, and N64. I love the new innovative ideas that are coming out. I'm highly intrigued and have considered buying a Wii to try it out. I currently bought Guitar Hero I and II and I've pretty much been addicted to it for a week or so. I play the guitar a little and thats probably what keeps me going at it. I also play pretty much al paddle sports quite well (Ping pong, tennis, and my favorite platform tennis in the winter). I am a cycling fanatic in the summer on my road bike. My friend "Slenda", who has lived down the street for forever, is my main rival in every videogame and recently online poker. Both of us push each other to do better at whatever we're doing because if we don't then we'll fall behind, and someone will end up being mocked. As for online playing, I used to be big into Halo1 (the best...for now) and Halo2, back when it wasnt about cheating, glitching, and modding. I'm starting to get pumped about Halo3, because i think that its gonna be the best of the three. I just have this feeling. Let's see... I like my games to be challenging because when a games at it's most difficult it shows what the gameplay is really like. There have been very few games that I havent been able to beat. On my wishlist of games I want right now or soon: CV:Portrait of Ruin(DS), LoZ: TP (GC), Okami(PS2), Gears of War(360), and I really want anything Wii.
Bcdefg123: I noticed that you only have records in Super Smash Bros. on Cyberscore. Any reason for that?
Jk0sk: Well... I've been playing games... I bought myself the new castlevania and LoZ TP. So I've had a good right to be busy... along with finals, christmas, switching apartments... things like that... my only reason for starting this account was to compete with my friend in SSB, but I'm gonna start updating with more games. I also noticed that Bruno "Chuck" beat some of my records for 1 player including my only first place... (I kind of know him form SSB boards, and he's really beating all of my scores) anyways, i'm gonna start looking through games and putting in whatever I have to offer. I'm getting better and better at guitar hero I and II so i think I'll input those first.
Bcdefg123: So what's your favorite character and stage?
Jk0sk: Favorite Character: Jigglypuff - she's not the best but you can always tell how good someone is by their opinion about her. If jokes are being made when you pick her you know they have no idea for whats coming up next.
Favorite Stage: Kirby's Dreamland - It the level with the least distractions while not being too big. It's an equalizer. You don't want to lose by having a pokemon pop out or by getting shot by the arwing... It always creates problems when playing one on one.
Favorite Stage (With 4 people): Hyrule - The tornadoes aren't anything to really be worried about (unless your Jigglypuff...) If it was a little smaller it'd be my favorite one on one matches as well.
Bcdefg123: You have any tips for us?
Jk0sk: Tips.. as in SSB? Yeah sure.
-learn how to z-cancel
-be familiar with using all characters not just one
-know how to spike in as many ways as possible
-try to keep opponents in the air
-learn characters different combos
-learn how to avoid characters different combos
-get better at dodging attacks
-in BtT, some moves are faster than others when hitting the targets
-in BtP, always try to land as close to the edge as possible
-in 1player, get all of the big pointers (yoshi rainbow, bros calamity, dk perfect) as well as learning ways to get pacifist (pikachu is just the easiest but you can do it on almost any stage)
-play more often with your friends
-support nintendo because gaming would be nothing without them
~hmm that's it I guess...
Bcdefg123: That’s it for me too- forever! Drama aside, it’s been a pleasure doing all these interview and talking to the pro players at Cyberscore. Here’s wishing that PlanesWalker will do just as well, and hopefully better.
